Overview

Gujarat is one of the most diverse States in India. Its history stretches over a long years from the age old Harappan Civilization to the Mughal period. Gujarat’s endless journey from Roots to Wings is timeless with historical and cultural traditions glorifying the State.

Gujarat, the Land of the Legends, is the birthplace of many Freedom fighters like the legendary Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and many others who fought the freedom struggle, infusing the qualities of tolerance, brotherhood, non-violence and patriotism into Indians.

The cultural mix enhanced with over 4500 years of history has endowed Gujarat with some of the greatest historical and archaeological monuments. While Lothal offers an unparalleled insight into the Harappan civilization, Ahmedabad has specimens of Indo-Sarcenic architecture, Palitana has a profusion of temples in the Jain style, Junagadh displays Buddhist caves and Rajput architecture appears all over different parts of Gujarat. A major Tourist destination of immense potential, it’s historical monuments represent the great religions of Asia – Hindu, Buddhism, Jain, Islam, Parsi and Sikh.

Itinerary

Day 1: Ahmedabad – Dakor - Ahmedabad
Day 1: Ahmedabad – Dakor - Ahmedabad

Morning pick from Airport and Departure to Dakor Temple (80 Kms / 2 Hrs). Later visit Gandhi Ashram, ISKCON Temple, Hathee Singh Jain Temple, Science City & Swamy Narayan Temple.

Day 2: Ahmedabad – Lothal - Rajkot

Departure to Rajkot (260 Kms / 5 Hrs), enroute visit Lothal - ‘Lothal’ - literally ‘Mound of the Dead’, is the most extensively excavated site of Harappan age in India and therefore allows the most insight into the story of Indus Valley Civilization. Visiting places at Rajkot visit - Swamy Narayan Temple - it has been built out of hand carved stones and the temple is renowned worldwide for its social work and humanitarian services, Ishwarya Temple, Panch Nath Mahadeo Temple, Ramakrishna Ashram, Asharamji Bapu Ashram, Rotary Mid Town Dolls Museum.

Day 3: Rajkot – Dwarka – Bet Dwarka

After early breakfast, departure to Dwarka (230 Kms / 5 Hrs). Local visits : Shri Nageshwar Temple, Gopi Talab, Bet Dwarka, Rukmini Temple. Transfer to a hotel. Evening visit Dwarakadhish Temple.

Day 4: Dwarka – Porbandar - Somnath

After breakfast, departure to Porbandar ( 105 Kms / 2 Hrs). Visit Birth Place of Shri Mahatma Gandhi (Kirti Mandir), Sudama Temple. Later drive to Somnath (135 Kms / 3 Hrs). Transfer to a hotel for fresh ups and then temple darshan in Somnath. Evening have a fun in Saurashtra beach..

Day 5: Somnath – Sasan Gir - Junagadh

After breakfast, departure to Sasangir (50 Kms / 1 hr) and visit Sasangir Safari Park. Later proceed to local sightseeing : Fort, Girnar Hills at Junagarh (55 Kms / 1 hr). Check into hotel.

Day 6: Junagadh – Gondal - Ahmedabad
Day 6: Junagadh – Gondal - Ahmedabad

After breakfast, Departure to Gondal (65 Kms / 1.5 hr). Visit Naulakha Palace and the famous temple of Swamy Narayan and then departure to Ahmedabad (250 Kms / 6 Hrs). Transfer to a hotel.

Day 7: Ahmedabad – Mount Abu

After breakfast, Departure to Mount Abu (240 Kms / 6 Hrs). A pleasant retreat set amidst the lush forested hills, Mount Abu is a green Oasis in the barren desert escape that is Rajasthan. Situated at the Aravali range, the hill retreat owes its cool climate to its rich flora covering the entire hill area includes coniferous trees and flowering shrubs. The ONLY hill station in Rajasthan, the Mount Abu is more than a summer retreat. Its stunning array of exquisite Dilwara Jain Temples dates back to 11th to 13th Centuries.

Day 8: Mount Abu – Nathdwara – Kankroli - Udaipur

After breakfast departure to Nathdwara (180 Kms / 4 Hrs) Visit Nathdwara Shreenathji Temple and then proceed to visit Kankroli temple. Later proceed to Udaipur. On arrival, visit City Palace, Lake PIchola, Lake Palace Jagdish Mandir, Maharana Pratap Memorial, Surya Chopar. Overnight at Udaipur

Day 9: Udaipur – Ahmedabad
Day 9: Udaipur – Ahmedabad

After breakfast, Departure to Ahmedabad (260 Kms / 6 Hrs). Transfer to Railway Station / Airport to board the return train / flight for destination.
