Your South Indian spiritual journey begins as you arrive at Madurai Airport, where your driver will meet and welcome you. Proceed to your hotel and complete the check-in formalities. Take some time to relax and refresh after your journey. As evening approaches, step into the spiritual heart of Madurai with a visit to the magnificent Meenakshi Amman Temple. Dedicated to Goddess Meenakshi and Lord Sundareswarar, the temple is famous for its towering gopurams, elaborate sculptures and vibrant atmosphere. Walking through its ancient corridors offers a wonderful introduction to Tamil Nadu’s extraordinary temple traditions. After darshan, return to your hotel and settle in for a comfortable night. MADURAI → RAMESWARAM
After breakfast, check out and begin your journey towards Rameswaram. As you leave Madurai behind, the scenery gradually changes as you approach the coast and Pamban Island. On arrival in Rameswaram, check in to your hotel and take some time to relax. Later in the evening, proceed to the magnificent Sri Ramanathaswamy Temple for darshan. The temple is one of India’s most important pilgrimage sites and is particularly renowned for its extraordinary pillared corridors and sacred atmosphere. Spend some peaceful moments within the temple complex before returning to your hotel. Approx. Distance: 175 km Approx. RAMESWARAM & DHANUSHKODI
Wake up in the sacred town of Rameswaram and enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Today’s journey takes you beyond the temples to discover the fascinating landscapes and history surrounding the island. Proceed towards Dhanushkodi, a place where stretches of sand meet turquoise waters at the edge of India. Once a thriving settlement, the old town was devastated by the cyclone of 1964, leaving behind ruins that today create an extraordinary landscape. Continue your sightseeing with views of the iconic Pamban Bridge, one of the most recognisable landmarks of Rameswaram. Later, visit the Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Memorial, dedicated to the former President of India, who was born in Rameswaram. After completing the day’s sightseeing, return to your hotel. RAMESWARAM → KANYAKUMARI
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and begin your scenic drive towards Kanyakumari. This is one of the longer road journeys of the tour, taking you through the landscapes of southern Tamil Nadu before eventually reaching India’s famous southern tip. Upon arrival in Kanyakumari, check in to your hotel. Later, proceed towards the waterfront and board the ferry/boat to visit the famous Vivekananda Rock Memorial, built on a rocky island just offshore. From here, experience the dramatic meeting point of the Arabian Sea, Bay of Bengal and Indian Ocean, popularly known as the Triveni Sangam. Continue to the Gandhi Memorial, dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi, before seeking blessings at the sacred Kanyakumari Amman Temple. KANYAKUMARI → KOVALAM
From Pilgrimage to the Peaceful Kerala Coast Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before checking out and continuing towards Kovalam. Today’s relatively shorter journey allows the pace of your holiday to slow down as you cross towards Kerala and approach its beautiful coastline. Upon arrival in Kovalam, check in to your hotel and relax. If time permits, explore the local surroundings and enjoy some peaceful moments along Kovalam’s famous coastline. Alternatively, spend the remainder of the day at leisure enjoying the facilities of your hotel/resort or exploring nearby areas independently. KOVALAM – TRIVANDRUM – KOVALAM
After breakfast, proceed towards Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum) for the final spiritual and heritage chapter of your journey. Your principal visit today is the magnificent Sri Padmanabhaswamy Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu in the form of Lord Padmanabha reclining on the serpent Anantha. After darshan, continue to nearby Kuthiramalika Palace, also known as Puthen Malika or the “Mansion of Horses.” The palace is an excellent example of traditional Kerala architecture and derives its popular name from the beautifully carved wooden horses incorporated into its structure. Please Note: Kuthiramalika Palace remains closed on Mondays. After completing the sightseeing programme, drive back to Kovalam. Spend your final evening relaxing and reflecting on a journey that has taken you from Tamil Nadu’s great temple cities to Kerala’s tranquil coastline. Wake up to your final morning in Kerala and enjoy breakfast at the hotel. At the appropriate time, check out and proceed to Trivandrum International Airport.
