Arrive in Kathmandu

Arrive in Kathmandu

Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you'll find our representative holding a placard with your name on it. After a short drive, you will reach your hotel, where our tour officer will assist you with the check-in process and provide a briefing about the tour itinerary. In the evening, you have the option to visit Thamel, the main tourist hub, where you can enjoy some time at a bar or a club on your own. You will spend the night in Kathmandu.

Kathmandu City Tour

Kathmandu City Tour

After Breakfast we begin our cultural discovery in Kathmandu, the heart of Nepal. We'll visit the Pashupatinath Temple, a sacred place where Lord Pashupatinath is worshipped for eternal peace and salvation. Next, we'll see the impressive Boudhanath Stupa, a large stupa with a vibrant Tibetan culture around it. Moving on, we'll explore Patan Durbar Square, a hub of fine art, with charming alleys and beautiful temples. Finally, we'll visit Swayambhunath Stupa, also known as the "Monkey Temple," famous for its resident monkey population. After a fulfilling day, we'll return to the hotel in Kathmandu for an overnight stay.

Drive to Nagarkot

Drive to Nagarkot

After Breakfast we will proceed a drive to Nagarkot. (Its approx 35 kms & 1hrs 30 minutes) drive from Kathmandu. Enroute we can Visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its well-preserved medieval architecture. It showcases traditional palaces, courtyards, temples, and intricate wood carvings, reflecting the rich cultural heritage of the Newari people. After sightseeing we will return to the hotel for a relaxing evening. You can enjoy the comforts of the hotel and have a peaceful overnight stay.

Depart Kathmandu

Booking & Payment Policy

A minimum 30% advance payment is required to confirm the booking.
The remaining balance must be paid 15 days before departure.
Bookings made within 15 days of travel require 100% advance payment.
All bookings are subject to hotel, transport, permit, and service availability at the time of confirmation.

Travel Documents & Entry Permit

Indian nationals do not require a visa to visit Bhutan.
A valid Passport (minimum 6 months validity) or Original Voter ID Card is mandatory for entry.
Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Driving Licence, or other IDs are not accepted as travel documents for Bhutan entry.
Children below 18 years should carry a valid Passport or Birth Certificate along with a valid school/college ID, as per the latest Bhutan immigration regulations.
Guests are responsible for carrying all required original documents.

Sustainable Development Fee (SDF)

Bhutan levies a Sustainable Development Fee (SDF) for Indian tourists as per the prevailing Government of Bhutan regulations.
The applicable SDF, if not included in the package cost, shall be payable by the guest before travel or at the time specified.
Any revision in SDF by the Government of Bhutan before departure will be borne by the guest.

Permit & Immigration

Entry permits are issued solely by the Bhutan Immigration Authorities.
Travscope acts only as a facilitator and cannot guarantee permit approval.
Any delay or refusal by immigration authorities is beyond Travscope's control.

Hotel Policy

Standard hotel check-in is from 2:00 PM and check-out by 12:00 Noon (may vary by property).
Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and may attract additional charges.
Hotels in Bhutan generally do not have air conditioning due to the pleasant climate.

Transportation

Transportation is provided strictly as per the confirmed itinerary.
Vehicle usage is point-to-point and not at the guest's disposal unless specifically mentioned.
Additional sightseeing, route changes, or extended vehicle usage will incur extra charges.
Road conditions in Bhutan are mountainous; travel times may vary due to weather or traffic.

Sightseeing

Sightseeing is subject to weather, road conditions, local authority permissions, and operational status.
Monasteries, dzongs, museums, and other attractions may remain closed on government holidays or special occasions.
Entry fees, guide charges, or camera fees are included only if specifically mentioned in the package.

Tiger's Nest Monastery (Taktsang)

The hike to Tiger's Nest Monastery is physically demanding.
Pony services (where available), personal guide tips, refreshments, and any additional expenses are not included unless specified.
Guests should assess their fitness before attempting the trek.

Weather & Clothing

Bhutan experiences rapidly changing weather, especially in higher altitudes.
Guests are advised to carry warm clothing, comfortable walking shoes, rain protection, sunscreen, and prescribed medicines.

Meals

Meals included are only those specifically mentioned in the itinerary.
Meals missed due to late arrival, early departure, sightseeing delays, or personal reasons are non-refundable.

Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is highly recommended for all travellers.
Travscope is not responsible for medical expenses, baggage loss, accidents, or travel disruptions.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation charges will apply as per the hotel's, transport provider's, and local operator's policies.
Permit fees, SDF (if already paid), and other non-refundable components will be deducted wherever applicable.
No refund will be provided for unused services, missed sightseeing, or early departure.

Force Majeure

Travscope shall not be held responsible for delays, cancellations, route changes, or additional expenses caused by natural disasters, landslides, snowfall, road closures, political unrest, strikes, pandemics, government regulations, or any unforeseen circumstances.

Guest Responsibility

Guests are expected to respect Bhutanese culture, traditions, religious sites, and local laws.
Smoking and tobacco use are strictly regulated in Bhutan.
Any fines, penalties, or legal consequences due to violation of local laws shall be borne solely by the guest.

Price Revision

Package prices are based on prevailing hotel tariffs, transport costs, taxes, SDF, and government regulations.
Any increase in these costs before departure shall be payable by the guest.

Liability

Travscope acts only as an intermediary between guests and service providers such as hotels, transport operators, airlines, and local suppliers.
Travscope shall not be liable for any injury, loss, accident, theft, baggage damage, flight delays, permit rejection, or any event beyond its direct control.

Hotels and vehicle types are subject to availability; equivalent alternatives may be provided if necessary.
Any personal expenses such as laundry, beverages, telephone charges, tips, porterage, optional tours, or shopping are not included unless specifically mentioned.
